There’s much more to Minecraft than just the base game – and there’s enough to keep you entertained for quite some time. Minecraft seeds unlock the game and then some, so there’s no limit to the places you can visit.
Seeds are part of Minecraft’s crafting tools and allow you to populate the world with all sorts of things. You’ll be able to acquire items, face new adventures, or visit somewhere purely to see the sights – the choice is yours!
Your job is simple: choose the one you want to play in, whether it’s the perfect place to collect the best loot or explore an idyllic landscape. To get the best Minecraft seeds to work, you need to get the seed code and enter it in the seed field the next time you create your following Minecraft seeds world. The game will do all the hard work and let you explore your new environment at your own pace.
In our minds, the following 15 Minecraft seeds are the best in the game right now, and any one of them should allow you to create a world that’s fun to explore and play.
To help you, we’ve put the latest version that each seed works with behind the seed code. You must set your Minecraft launcher to the specified version for accurate results.

Slime Farm

Seed: 7000
Version: 1.16
This valuable Minecraft seed puts you on the edge of the swamp biome, so all you have to do is wait for the slime of the night fields or build your own Minecraft slime farm. You can also use the nearby village to start farming, with a few wolves scattered around and a small underground cave that hosts an Enderman, all within easy reach.

Hillside Village

Seed: 7492140738558
Version: 1.17
This taiga spawn, highlighted in a video by YouTuber Muzbro, consists of several nearby villages, including a hillside village perched on top of a hill. There are also attractive building opportunities along the coast.
Biome Cluster
Seed: -2268290183235354767
Version: 1.17
This seed spawns you in a forest biome, with mushroom fields adjacent to the desert, which turn into beautiful badlands. Oh, and there’s a frozen ocean biome in the mix – we found a single polar bear admiring its colorful surroundings on our expedition. We have intrepid explorer and YouTuber Avomance to thank for finding this seed.
Minecraft Title Screen

Seed: 2151901553968352745
Version: Beta 1.7.3
Coordinates: X=61.48~, Y=75, Z=-68.73~
For years the Minecraft title screen image had researchers determined to track down its whereabouts until it was finally announced that someone had found the Minecraft title screen seed. This title screen location is now confirmed to be correct. You can watch this groundbreaking discovery in the video above, along with the exact coordinates and seed code, which you now have to watch in the unblurred Minecraft Vista. If it doesn’t work, you can also use the following seed as they both work: 8091867987493326313.
Vertical Island Village
Seed: -6537256334104833826
Version: 1.18
Coordinates: X= -416 Z= 128
You can find this unique village, discovered by u/szmirgley on Reddit, west of the island where you spawn. These intrepid villagers have built a house around a towering cliff with harbors on all sides, buildings on top, and earth carved into the side of the cliff.
Coastal Towns
Seed: -7783854906403730143
Version: 1.18
This Minecraft 1.18 seed spawns you on a rocky plateau close to a bulky village. Several spectacular mountains are in the distance, and another village is built on a cliff across the water – a perfect base for sea adventures. This is a great Minecraft survival seed for exploring caves and cliffs update.

Mooshroom Paradise

Seed: 859337968100847433
Version: 1.18
After splashing out on a sandy beach, turn around and head to sea to discover a Mooshroom paradise with lots of adorable Mooshroom families. Watch your step as the rare mushroom fields occasionally open to large gorges.

Beautiful Lush Cave

Seed: -1898624505743265221
Version: 1.18
Coordinates: X= 2890 Y= 47 Z=2200
Although this fascinating cave found by u/SushyDie on Reddit is a long way from the initial spawn location, it’s well worth the trip. Traveling up a disused mine shaft connected to the ceiling by chains into the massive cavern, the vast expanse of the cavern opens up below you. It is the perfect location for the underground metropolis.
Mangrove Swamp and Outpost

Seed: 3546842701776989958
Version: 1.19
Found by Minecraft and Chill on the Bedrock version of the game, entering this seed will get you very close to an Illager outpost near the beach. There’s a shipwreck, desert pyramids, and a village nearby, but there’s also a vast Mangrove Swamp to explore, ideal if you want to find Minecraft frogs.
Gaspoweredpick Desert Monolith
Seed: 416469024
Version: 1.19
At first, this Minecraft seed of Gas Poweredpick looks unusual outside the Mangrove Swamp you spawn in. However, if you climb the tree, you will see an impressive spire. The area is a fantastic focal point, with plenty to explore in the nearby desert, including a desert village and a badlands biome.
Endless Beach
Seed: -1389577003656398696
Now another beach (like we can’t get enough beaches), and it has the added benefit of being endless – sounds like heaven to us! You can find your first set of trees soon after moving inland from your starting point, and it won’t be long before you arrive at the perfect building site. There’s a lava pool here, but if you think it ruins the environment, you can cover it up; possible to find potions and other items if you head down to the nether.
Frozen Wasteland
Frozen Wasteland Minecraft

Seed: -7255571058704538969
From tropical beach settings to polar opposite frozen wastelands, there is a place where you won’t want to wear beachwear. This is the most challenging seed, but there is a gorge that you will see as you come, and you can quickly iron it out. You’ll also find a village not too far away worth exploring.
Snowcapped Mountains

Seed: -7649949940957896961
As you can guess, snow-capped mountains control the landscape in this Minecraft seed. Follow the strip of snow to the west, and you’ll see the peaks get higher. But it’s an early seed of lows and highs: right next to where you spawn is the start of a massive cave system that descends far down, all the way to bedrock. Expect plenty of opportunities for beginner Minecraft diamond mining and fun here!
Easy Diamonds

Seed: -4361528937055201680
This beautiful starting seed places you on the border between grassland and savanna, atop one of the many feature winding hills added with Minecraft 1.18. But perhaps more interestingly, there are several bulging holes in the ground around you, each leading far below sea level through vast caverns filled with dripstone, diamonds, copper, and other valuable resources.
